5 Romantic West Toronto Restaurants for Valentine’s Day

We’re big fans of Valentine’s Day, and we always find ways to celebrate. This year, we held a draw, awarding three lucky winners with $200 gift certificates to the Keg Steakhouse. It got us thinking about all the other wonderful places to enjoy a romantic dinner in Toronto—many of which are located right here in the city’s west end. From prix-fixe menus to upscale comfort food, there’s no shortage of local options this February 14th. Luckily, we’ve selected our top picks!

If you’re looking to enjoy a meal with your Valentine, here are five places to consider in West Toronto

1) Campo Restaurant

Ask anyone in Baby Point about local restaurants and they’re sure to mention Campo. This rustic-chic eatery is known for its incredible Italian and Spanish-influenced food, as well as its upscale cocktails. This Valentine’s Day, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a romantic four-course meal. The menu, which has been carefully curated, will feature braised rabbit leg, potato and ricotta dumplings, a Sicilian cauliflower salad, and more (including your choice of unbelievably decadent desserts). Dinner is $90 per person—and based on our past visits to Campo, we’re betting it will be worth every cent.

2) Nodo

Between its charming village feel and intimate restaurants, the Junction is always a great bet for date night. On February 14th, the neighbourhood will become even more romantic. Nodo, an authentic Italian eatery with perfect mood lighting, is our top local pick. Gourmet pizzas, pastas, and appetizers are all specialties here, as are finely-crafted beverages for those who partake. Like Campo, Nodo will be offering a prix fixe menu for Valentine’s Day. Pitch-perfect Italian staples by candlelight? Count us in!

3) The Ace

Fancy a casual meal along the Roncesvalles strip? If so, head to the Ace. This cozy neighbourhood favourite proves that romance doesn’t have to entail over-the-top luxury—or tiny portions. Here you’ll find comfort food classics with delicious (sometimes unexpected) twists. Of course, there’s more to this Roncy hotspot than great food. The upscale diner vibe and fully-stocked bar make the Ace the perfect place to get comfortable and truly connect (or reconnect) with your sweetheart.

4) Annette Food Market

If you’re not in the mood for Nodo, consider bringing your valentine to Annette Food Market. Tucked into a quieter part of the Junction, this cozy eatery is a must-visit for fans of wood-fired pizza. That said, there’s a lot more on the menu than authentic pies. From octopus carpaccio to wild boar ragu, this is the place savour something you’ve never tried before. Then there’s the ambiance. The windows that look out onto Annette Street provide a romantic evening view, while the reclaimed church pews add an air of uniqueness to this lovely space.

5) Bloom Restaurant

Want to try something different this Valentine’s Day? Why not head to Bloom Restaurant. In the heart of Bloor West Village, this enchanting eatery serves up some of the best Latin American cuisine in the city. Favourites include the ceviches (which is fresh and flavourful) along with the paella (cooked to perfection and beyond satisfying, it’s a must for seafood lovers). On February 14th, Bloom Restaurant will pair its delectable menu with the musical stylings of one of the world’s premier jazz guitarists and vocalists, Jocelyn Gould.
